Bubby Upton and Cola CCI5* Dressage at MARS Badminton Horse Trials
Bubby Upton and Cola led the first day of CCI5* dressage at MARS Badminton Horse Trials 2024 and head into the cross country in second place behind Ros Canter riding Izilot DHI.
“Being told I could ride again was probably the more emotional part of it” admits Bubby Upton of her recovery from serious back injuries after a fall in August 2023 “But getting back on felt really alien, almost like having a new body.”
In Part Two of our Feature Video Interview at home with Bubby, she tells us about the accident that nearly paralysed her, the recovery process and her return to eventing. Against all odds, Bubby has already returned to the winner's circle in 2024 and heads to Badminton Horse Trials with her top horse Cola next week
